1922, 13 December - The Constitution of the Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic (TSFSR) was adopted, the first all-Caucasian Congress of Soviets formalized the creation of the TSFSR. It was decided that the Transcaucasian Soviet Republics should join the USSR as a single federal republic.

Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic (TSFSR) was a form of political and state union of the Soviet Socialist Republics of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia from 1922 to 1936.

The TSFSR became a founding member of the Soviet Union on 30 December, 1922 along with the Russian SFSR, the Ukrainian SSR, and the Byelorussian SSR.

In December 1936, the Transcaucasian SFSR was dissolved and divided again among the Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani SSRs, directly incorporated into the USSR.

1921, 21 February - The Constitution of Georgia, adopted on 21 February 1921, by the Constituent Assembly of Georgia. At that time, the Georgian Armed Forces were fighting against the Russian army on the outskirts of Tbilisi. The constitution was published in March 1921 in the printing house of Nestor Khvingia in Batumi. 1918, March 3 - The Peace Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. As a result of the Treaty, Russia ceded large territories of the Caucasus, Ardahan (Artaan) and Kars districts being among them (Article 4 of the Treaty).
